ACE Moharram Bakhoum is seeking a highly qualified Contracts Engineer with a solid civil engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management within the construction industry, with specific expertise in engineering contracts such as FIDIC and CLAC. A PMP or PRMG certification is required, ensuring that the candidate brings advanced project management skills to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, with a focus on civil engineering projects, ensuring all terms are clear, enforceable, and aligned with project requirements.
- Provide expert analysis of contract terms, including FIDIC and CLAC contracts, to identify potential risks and offer strategic guidance to project managers and stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with all contractual obligations, managing the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve contractual disputes and facilitate seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of all contracts, amendments, and related documentation.
- Support the development of standardized contract templates and contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes.
- Provide specialized support during the tendering process, including the preparation and submission of contract-related documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Proven experience with engineering contracts, specifically FIDIC and CLAC.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRMG (Professional Program in Project Management) certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and industry best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple contracts concurrently.
