Essential Duties and Accountabilities: -

1. Study the problems that hinder the progress of work and participates in the development and continuous updating of working methods and procedures.
2. Participates in the preparation of the project estimated budget to comply with the project objectives, its operational plans of action and needs.
3. Monitors the performance indicators periodically and prepares relevant work completion rates reports.
4. Promotes safety achievement and performance throughout the Company. Advises and recommends continuous improvement to meet and exceed corporate and statutory compliance targets.
5. Identifies and recommends HSE related training required to support continuous improvement of the HSE staff.
6. Reviews all non-conformance reports, both internal and external, regarding HSE to ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are put in place wherever possible to eliminate root causes.
7. Participates in Company safety equipment technical assessment and evaluation.
8. Prepares the periodical HSE reports and statistics.
9. Participates in HSE prequalification for projects contractors/subcontractors and arranges with customers for pre-mobilization of HSE coordinators and kick-off meetings.
10. Conducts regular site visits and prepares their reports.
11. Reviews contractors/subcontractors’ HSE plans and programs.
12. Participates in sites incidents investigations, follows up actions, and coordinates the lessons learned to all sites.

Supportive Duties & Accountabilities: -

1. Keeps abreast of the best and recent work practices in accordance with the section scope of work, studies their implementation to increase efficiency and productivity and present to the project HSE manager.
2. Ensures the full implementation of the Company manuals, procedures, and departmental work instructions, in accordance with the requirements of the Company Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Energy Management systems.
3. Ensures the awareness and implementation of the Quality Control programs and Quality Assurance procedures for the departmental activities within the framework of the overall Company Quality Management Systems.
4. Ensures the full awareness and implementation of the applicable requirements of the Company Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy Management Systems.
5. Provides the necessary support and carry out any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor that fall within the scope of the work.
6. Participates in the awareness and implementation of policies, standards, objectives and requirements for occupational health, safety, and environmental protection (HSE) and other related requirements.
7. Participates in the support and follow-up of the implementation of training plans and programs for personnel covering the occupational health, safety, and environmental protection (HSE) Competency Management system established by the concerned authorities.
8. Ensures the full awareness and compliance with the applicable HSE legal requirements.
9. Coordinates communication channels, actively emphasizes information flow and assignments horizontally and vertically to ensure consistency between the section internal mandates and project assignments.
