- Ensure that employees have proper safety training and are aware of hazards in their work environment.
- Perform HSE Regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with HSE Policies and Egyptian Local Law.
- Conduct on job training to all employees clarifying all potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
- Plan safe working practices and making necessary changes.
- Keep up to date and ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation.
- Ensure that equipment is installed correctly/safely.
- Determine ways of reducing risks.
- Liaise with relevant authorities.
- Organize/attend health and safety meetings.
- Safely handle hazardous substances and ensure having their MSDS in place in Arabic and English and train employees how to use them.
- Investigate/record incidents, accidents, complaints, and cases of ill health.
- Tracking all Incident on Guard platform and ensure that all incidents are solved and closed with the relevant corrective actions.
- Draw-up safe operational procedures and work instructions.
- Consult with HSE Manager to develop policies and procedures for safety programs.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and providing training on safe work practices to employees.
- Participate and support in HSE Risk assessment for events, trips and any certain activities.
- Ensure that all schools have records of all HSE training, 3rd party inspection reports, Fire drill reports HSE committee Meetings minutes ……etc.
- Ensure that Emergency plan are available and updated, communicated to all schools.
- Participate in all schools Fire drill and work on regular enhancement.
- Ensure Contractors management process are in place.
- Monitor and report all academies incident instantly.
- Ensure that all the Life safety system is up and running and have the regular 3rd party inspection visits are in place.
3 years of experience in HSE field Fluent in Englishbachelor’s degree in health science, public health, or a related field. HSE officers are required to be certified in first aid, CPR and Firefighting.Certification from recognized occupational health and safety body is a plus.Organization skills - HSE officer use organization skills to manage multiple safety projects and analyze multiple studies at once.Public speaking - HSE officer use public speaking skills to give presentations and present oral reports regarding health, safety, and environmental hazards within a specific workplace or geographic area.Communication skills - HSE officer use written communication skills to create reports and training materials, and verbal communication skills to delegate tasks to other HSE staff members.Analytical thinking - good analytical skills and the ability to think critically are must-haves for HSE officer, who analyse data and compile it into usable material and reports.Leadership - HSE officer use leadership skills to manage other health, safety, and environment staff members and assign them specific investigative tasks.
