1. Scheduling shipping and delivery operations and reviewing shipping data
2. Ensuring shipments are shipped, delivered and received on time and supervised
3. Entering shipment data into the company's database
4. Coordinating with shipping companies for receipt and delivery
5. Following up with shipping companies on a daily basis regarding late shipments
6. Monitoring inventory. And following up on returns
7. Managing returns and ensuring their receipt.
8. Working with the supervisor on other related tasks
9. Supervising the transfer of shipments from one location to another and ensuring their delivery
10. Ensuring that all parties work together to ensure shipments are packed, sent and delivered on time
11. Directing the work team and preparing for shipping. Checking specifications and reviewing policies
12. Supervising and directing the shipping department and making suggestions to improve the team's performance
13. Analyzing the balances of all warehouses and redistributing shipments between agents and each other
14. Preparing distribution and shipping reports for each warehouse and consolidated reports for all warehouses
15. Preparing shipping and distribution orders
16. Implementing both customer service policies and instructions approved by the direct manager
17. Writing a daily report stating what has been accomplished in the work
18. Performing some administrative tasks
