Job Description
- PREPARE AND ISSUE NECESSARY SHOP DRAWINGS AND COORDINATION DRAWINGS FOR ALL ALLOCATED PROJECTS BASED ON PROJECT’S DESIGN DRAWINGS IN ACCURATE WITH QUALITY STANDARD AND RAISE THE FLAG FOR ANY CONFLICTS BETWEEN VARIOUS DESIGN COMPONENTS.
- PREPARE AND ISSUE ALL THE NEEDED TECHNICAL SUBMITTALS.
- STUDY AND PREPARE REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION (RFIS) FOR ALL MISSING, UNCLEAR, CONFLICTING OR OTHER TECHNICAL MATTERS THAT MAY ARISE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
- DISCUSS AND SUGGEST TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS FOR DESIGN DRAWINGS.
- CHECK QUANTITY SURVEY FOR ALL FINISHING WORKS FOR ALL TRADES BY USING COMPUTER PROGRAMS OR MANUAL TO ENSURE THE ACCURACY OF QUANTITIES IN THE BOQ.
- VISITING SITES TO COMPILE MEASUREMENTS AS NECESSARY, AND COORDINATE WITH SURVEYING ENGINEER TO PROVIDE HIM ALL THE INFORMATION.
- PARTICIPATE IN THE VALUE ENGINEERING STUDY/CHANGE ORDERS EVALUATION, IF REQUESTED.
- PARTICIPATE IN PREPARING THE SUBCONTRACTORS’ AND CLIENTS’ INVOICES.
- PREPARE THE AS BUILT DRAWINGS AT THE END OF THE PROJECT.
- ASSIST IN UPDATING THE SHOP DRAWING LOG BEFORE SENDING THE SHOP DRAWING TO CONSULTANT FOR APPROVALS.
- ATTEND PROGRESS TECHNICAL MEETINGS, IF REQUESTED.
- CARRY OUT ANY DRAFTING TASKS.
- PARTICIPATE IN REVIEWING THE CONTRACTS FROM THE TECHNICAL POINT OF VIEW.
- PARTICIPATE IN PREPARING THE CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF STATEMENT AND WORK PLAN.
- ENSURING THAT CLIENTS’ NEEDS ARE MET AS THE PROJECT EVOLVES.
- MAINTAINING PROJECT DOCUMENTATION.
- COLLABORATES WITH DESIGN TEAM IN PERFORMING VALUE ENGINEERING AS NECESSARY (AS PER CLIENT PRE-SET BUDGET).
- INFORMS PRINCIPLE AND GENERAL MANAGER OF ANY UNEXPECTED DELAY IN THE PROJECT’S TIMELINE.
- PERFORMS ANY OTHER TASK REQUESTED BY PRINCIPAL AND/OR GENERAL MANAGER.
- DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN ACCURATE PROJECT DOCUMENTATION THAT INCLUDES TRACKING OF CHANGES IN PLAN, REASONS OF DELAYS AND REGULAR PROGRESS REPORTS THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT DURATION.
- ENSURES THAT ALL PROJECT CLOSURE DOCUMENTS ARE ARCHIVED FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
- RECEIVE THE AS BUILT PLANS AND CHECK THEM WITH THE ACTUAL DIMENSIONS ON SITE.
COORDINATE WITH THE SUPPLIERS AND LIGHTING DESIGNERS WHENEVER REQUESTED. - REVIEW, STUDY AND COORDINATE DESIGN DRAWINGS, BOQ, SPECIFICATIONS, SUBCONTRACTORS’ SHOP DRAWINGS AND COST ESTIMATES.
- VISIT AND COMMUNICATE WITH SITE FOR FOLLOWING UP FOR ANY DESIGN CONFLICTS, SITE MEASUREMENTS AND VARIATION ORDERS.
- PRODUCE CAD DRAWINGS FOR PRESENTATION (PLANS, ELEVATIONS, SECTIONS, DETAILS) AND ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATION.
- PREPARE WORKSHOP DRAWINGS FOR WOODWORK AND FURNITURE DETAILS.
- DESIGN ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS AS REQUIRED (JOINERY, DOORS, CORNICING, ARCHITRAVE, BATHROOMS, AND KITCHENS).
- WORK CLOSELY WITH THE DESIGN TEAM TO PREPARE, DEVELOP AND PRODUCE CLIENT CONCEPT DESIGNS AND PRESENTATION DOCUMENTS THAT INCLUDE PLANS, ELEVATIONS, PERSPECTIVE VISUALS, AND FURNITURE DRAWINGS.
- SOURCING FF&E AND DEALING WITH SUPPLIERS.
- CONSIDERATION OF MATERIALS AND COST ACCORDING TO SET THE BUDGET.
General Requirements: BACHELOR DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING/INTERIOR DESIGN WITH FOUR TO EIGHT YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAILS.COMPERHENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF ARCHITECTURAL AND INTERIOR DESIGN STANDARDS AND CODES.COMPREHENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN AUTO CAD &SOFTWARE AND TOOLS RELATED TO THE ARCHITECTURAL DEPARTMENT.VERY GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS.VERY GOOD LEADERSHIP SKILLS.VERY GOOD PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS.EXCELLENT LEVEL OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE.THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE IN DESIGN SOFTWARE (AUTOCAD, SKETCHUP, PHOTOSHOP).AN ABILITY TO PREPARE SCHEDULES AND STEP-BY-STEP ACTION PLANS.SOLID ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS, INCLUDING MULTITASKING AND TIME-MANAGEMENT.WELL ORGANIZED AND EFFICIENT.ABLE TO MANAGE THE WORKLOAD AND MEET DEADLINES WITHOUT FAIL.ATTENTION TO DETAILS AND FLEXIBLE AND SELF-MOTIVATED.GOOD TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE WITH THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE DETAILED INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND JOINERY.MODELING IN SKETCHUP AND FAIR KNOWLEDGE WITH 3DMAX.ABILITY TO PREPARE PRESENTATIONS THROUGH THE USE OF ADOBE SOFTWARE PROGRAMS SUCH AS IN-DESIGN OR POWERPOINT.
