What you’ll do

Role purpose: The primary objective is to deliver efficient support and problem-solving assistance for Vodafone Enterprise applications and services. This involves implementing monitoring measures, providing proactive actions, and resolving issues to maintain optimal service availability and performance. Additionally, ensuring timely availability of closing, trade, and daily reports is a crucial responsibility.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
1.    Data Delivery and Availability: Ensure uninterrupted data delivery and availability by implementing daily health checks and automation processes.
2.    Performance Optimization: Handle operational jobs, tune services and applications, and establish quality gates and alerts to optimize system performance.
3.    Change Implementation: Take responsibility for successful post-production testing and implementation of applied changes to the systems.
4.    Problem Resolution: Investigate and follow up on open problem notifications with Application Development and vendors, implementing necessary corrective actions.
5.    Finance Support and Reporting: Effectively support finance monthly closing activities and trade review reports, addressing closing issues, extractions, models, and reporting.
6.    Monitoring and KPIs: Participate in setting daily/weekly/monthly KPIs for service availability, monitor all KPIs, and take appropriate actions in case of violations or potential issues.
7.    24/7 Support: Provide support for BI services and enterprise applications round the clock, ensuring critical production services are properly monitored and failures are handled.
8.    On-call Duty: Handle support services and BI/enterprise applications within the normal on-call or shift-based duty actions, ensuring availability and timely response.


Core competencies, knowledge and experience 
•    From 0-2 years’ experience in BI Apps and technologies 
•    B.SC of  Computer science, Engineering and equivalent  Certificates
•    Data Warehouse Concepts: Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, including data modelling, ETL processes, integration, and data quality.
•    Database Management Systems: Proficiency in working with database Oracle, PL-SQL querying and performance tuning.
•    ETL Tools and Data Integration: Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, DataStage, or SSIS, and the ability to develop, and troubleshoot ETL workflows.
•    Data Analysis and Reporting: Strong analytical skills for data analysis, trend identification, and generating reports or dashboards to support decision-making.
•    Troubleshooting and Automation: Ability to resolve technical issues related to data loading, transformation, and reporting, and familiarity with scripting languages for automation.
•    Programming and Admin skills: 
Fair Knowledge for WebLogic ,TOMCAT, Jboss  ,Python 
Business Object Reporting  ,Java, Shell scripting
