The Logistics Specialist should provide general support on external logistics operations. Liaises with internal staff / departments and with transport services suppliers to resolve issues and to ensure smooth operation for all business units’ shipments
- Prepare purchase reports for shipment status.
- Issue the Purchase orders for Shipments via oracle system.
- Review the Performa invoice with the suppliers for the new orders.
- Submit shipping instructions to the main suppliers and sub-suppliers & insuring cargo pick up and follow up shipping process up till final destination .
- Review shipping documents drafts with suppliers , ensure correct shipping data before submitting original documents to customs clearance department
- Follow up shipments with all stakeholders
- Maintain release instructions from sales department.
- Coordinate logistics activities with Sales , Insurance ,procurement, warehousing, finance, and other departments.
- Negotiate Freight Prices , arrange best shipping mode in addition to confirm payment terms and delivery terms with stakeholder .
- Request marine insurance for each shipment via oracle.
- Ensure arrival of each shipment to warehouse within the agreed lead time.
- Verify and follow shipping documents before the arrival of each shipment.
- Prepare claims to the suppliers for damaged or missing parts based on feedback received from warehousing department, or the port coordinators.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Logistics or Commerce, or BusinessSpecial Certification or Training Required: ERP SkillsRequired Industry Experience: 2-3 yearsTechnological Requirements: • Full Knowledge of Inco-terms , Automotive industry , MTS , Cargo X system • Good Communication Skills .• Knowledge of importation of automotive parts
