Purchasing Specialist

Egypt - Cairo

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating local suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
  • Support the negotiation of contracts and terms of agreement with local suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, inventory, and logistics teams, to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking local shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify potential new local suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
  • Provide administrative support for procurement processes, including processing purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed to support production schedules.
  • Stay informed of local market trends, supplier capabilities, and regulatory changes that may impact purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior procurement staff to develop and implement procurement strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience in a relevant field (internships or co-op experience may be considered).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to learn and grow in the field of procurement.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
