We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant to join our team at Mighty Foods. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in analyzing and managing costs within our dynamic industry.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for new products and projects.
- Conduct regular cost-benefit analyses to enhance financial decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and improve production processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations.
- Monitor budgetary performance and provide detailed financial reports to the Accounting Manager.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.At least 3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant, preferably in the food and beverage industry.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
