Cloud and VMware Team Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud and VMware Team Leader to join our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our cloud and VMware teams, ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of our virtualized and cloud-based environments. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in cloud services and VMware technologies, and a commitment to driving excellence in IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and Mentor: Manage and provide guidance to the cloud and VMware teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess team performance, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance team skills and knowledge in cloud and VMware technologies.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to ensure project deadlines and service levels are met.

Technical Oversight:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud services, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • VMware Environment Management: Manage VMware infrastructure, including vSphere, NSX, and VSAN, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute cloud and virtualization projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timely completion.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • IT Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement IT strategies that leverage cloud and virtualization technologies.

Support and Collaboration:

  • Incident Management: Oversee the resolution of issues related to cloud and VMware environments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and departments to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer service in supporting cloud and VMware-related requests and issues.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud and VMware technologies, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.Certifications:CCNA (Must)CCNP Routing and Switching (Preferred)Linux (Must)VMware Certified Professional (VCP)VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.Skills:Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and VMware technologies (vSphere, NSX, vSAN).Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
