- Analyze customer returns, concerns, and defects found in the JC production.
- Prepare and maintain a control plan for components and complete products.
- Supervise effective use of SPC in the production and evaluation of results.
- Perform Capability Studies and Process Audits.
- Perform Gauge Studies (Gauge R&R, Bias, Linearity, and Stability) before the gage is approved for production tests or after product change.
- Responsible for the color/appearance approval process of affected parts.
- Support the continuous improvement of the Operator Description Sheets (ODS).
- Identify and use appropriate statistical tools and mentor and train team members in the use of statistical applications and techniques.
- Supplier evolution: inbound quality, checking against specifications, liaising with suppliers on quality.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.Minimum 2 years in the Quality area within a production environment.Knowledge of the AIAG Quality Planning and Control Plan standard, FMEAs, PPAPs, Dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design, and Performance/Material testing.Manufacturing Quality system experience and customer communication activities. Certification in Quality Engineering is a plus. QS9000 certified auditor training desirable.Understand the quality management systems and methodologies, PPAP, FMEA, Control plans, DOE, and SPC are also required.Specific education and training in Quality disciplines including as a minimum QS9000, Continuous Improvement.
