- Review tender documents, specs, drawings and BOQ and ensure clarifications are raised well in time to get better clarity on bid submission
- Conduct comparison studies for suppliers and subcontractors' quotations and develop breakdown cost estimations in response to the client's BOQ and specific requirements.
- create commercial and technical proposals to ensure prompt and accurate compliance with the clients' requirements.
- Develop comprehensive mechanical work scopes, technical specifications, and method statements.
- Collaborate with the design team to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and resource allocations.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
- Provide technical support during the tender submission and contract award process.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of mechanical cost data, market trends, and subcontractor/supplier performance.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering+5 years minimum of experience in mechanical tendering and estimating for construction projectsProven experience in Technical office works, quantity surveying, tendering and cost estimation to prepare tender packages (BOQ, specifications and quantities) for all types of projects.Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Primavera, and RevitThorough understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and market trendsStrong knowledge of mechanical subcontractors, suppliers, and material pricesAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specificationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and negotiation skills
