Job Title: Senior Software Tester (QA)
Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Tester (QA), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will lead the quality assurance efforts by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases. Additionally, you will mentor junior members of the QA team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, automate test cases, conduct regression testing, analyze test results, and drive continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Lead and mentor junior members of the QA team, providing guidance and support in testing methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on design and implementation from a QA perspective.
- Automate test cases where applicable to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, including recommendations for improvements.
- Continuously identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing methodologies and a strong understanding of QA principles. They will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of leading successful QA initiatives.
Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on quality assurance.Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and execution.Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium or Cypress.Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and agile practices.Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools.Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.Preferred Qualifications:ISTQB or similar certification in software testing.Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments, such as AWS or Azure.Key Skills:Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Test Automation, Test Planning, Test Case Design, Agile Methodologies, Selenium, Cypress, Defect Tracking, SDLC, Problem-Solving, Communication.
