The Treasury Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of the university. You will be responsible for a range of tasks related to cash management, banking relationships, and investment activities. This position contributes to the university's financial health by maintaining strong liquidity, optimizing investment returns, and mitigating financial risks.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash flow activities, including forecasting, account reconciliation, and bank transfers.
- Oversee university bank accounts, maintaining positive relationships with financial institutions and negotiating favorable terms.
- Assist in developing and implementing the university's cash management strategy.
- Participate in the investment process for university funds, ensuring compliance with investment policies and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify and manage potential risks associated with interest rates, foreign currency exchange, and other factors.
- Prepare regular reports on cash flow, bank activity, and investment performance.
- Coordinate with other departments across the university, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budgeting, to ensure accurate financial information and efficient processes.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in treasury management, cash operations, or a similar role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial modeling software (Excel preferred).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
