Overview:

  • A Digital Marketing Manager (also known as an Online Marketing Manager) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote a company and its products or services.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools, and trends to increase brand awareness, drive web traffic, and acquire leads/customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.

Campaign Management:

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and display advertising.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., content, design, sales) to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaigns.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Oversee the creation and optimization of engaging content for the company’s website, blogs, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Manage the content calendar to ensure timely delivery of campaigns and promotions.

SEO and SEM:

  • Optimize website content and structure for search engines (SEO) to improve organic search rankings.
  • Manage paid search campaigns (SEM) to maximize ROI on advertising spend.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to user interactions on social media platforms in a timely manner.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze website traffic flow and provide regular internal reports.
  • Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).

Budget Management:

  • Manage and optimize the marketing budget to ensure efficient spending and maximum return on investment.
  • Allocate funds across different channels and campaigns based on performance and strategic priorities.

Customer Insights and Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviors.
  • Use insights to refine marketing strategies and enhance customer experience.

Collaboration and Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of digital marketing professionals.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing initiatives.

Staying Updated:

  • Stay abreast of the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Continuously seek out innovative ways to improve marketing performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with A/B testing and multivariate experiments.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development principles.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and digital marketing tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
