- here is a challenging and exciting job opportunity as Senior Marketing Manager, Obesity, who will be supporting the implementation of obesity marketing strategies via active collaboration with a dynamic cross-functional team, while generating key business insights to improve business processes and outcomes.
- This position is based in Cairo, Egypt. You will be a member of GLP-1 Business Unit and you will report to GLP-1 Business Unit Director.
The position
- As Senior Marketing Manager, Obesity, you will lead a team of professional marketers, you will be responsible for the formulation and successful implementation of marketing strategies and closely collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities to develop the obesity market in Egypt.
- This will include working on cross-functional projects aimed at capacity building, patient awareness and activation and developing digital platforms to serve these purposes.
Your main accountabilities will be:
- Support the development of obesity marketing strategies in line with portfolio priorities and resource allocation.
- Support affiliate launches preparations and act as a value-adding partner to secure launch readiness.
- Contribute to key business processes such as strategic planning, budget planning, business reviews and long-term forecasting with close interaction with the management team and key stakeholders.
- Generate key business insights to improve business processes and outcomes by providing up-to-date analysis on market dynamics.
- Showcase your abilities to support and handle various strategic projects from business planning to execution and forecasting, lead, coach and develop your team.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical business of which at least 6 years marketing experience with people management skills for 3 years. Proven success in brand strategy, marketing campaigns, roll-out and portfolio management.
- Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in Medicine or Pharmacy.
- Excellent command over both written and spoken English.
- You have strong business drive with customer-centricity, business acumen and a commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities and effective time management skills.
- Excellent analytical capability and an ability to synthesize insights, create focus, and eagerness to learn influence the organization to move forward.
- Comprehensive understanding of Multichannel Engagement and new customer engagement models and how to excel the therapy area tactics with new engagement models at the affiliate level.
- FMCG / OTC background is highly preferred.
About the department
- The GLP-1 Business Unit handles sales and marketing activities for GLP-1 products in both diabetes and obesity in Novo Nordisk Egypt.
- With a dynamic pace of work and multiple interesting projects, members of GLP-1 Business Unit are continuously working on interesting and life-changing projects.
