Job purpose

Assessing the functionality of software to ensure that it is in line with the requirements of the customer based on functional specifications and according to the plan.

Duties and responsibilities

• Reviews Requirements and understand the design of the system to be implemented
• Designs, Writes, and reviews test cases and test scripts
• Executes assigned test cases and cross-test on other stories
• Logs issues and tracks them until closure
• Reports test execution status to Principle/Lead
• Communicates with the Scrum Master/Principle/Lead tasks issues & schedule
• Ability to understand new testing techniques, technologies, tools & the ability to apply them
• Takes higher ownership for the tasks and duties assigned
• Consolidates other team member tasks
• Performs impact analysis
• Coaches and supports Junior Quality Engineer
