Role Description The Senior Scale Operator role at Knauf Egypt is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo. The role involves operating and monitoring weighing scales for incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate measurements and proper documentation. The Senior Scale Operator verifies load information, prepares and records weight tickets, and updates systems to support inventory and logistics processes. This role coordinates with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams to manage material flow efficiently and safely. The Senior Scale Operator also supports recycling and waste management procedures, follows company health and safety guidelines, and escalates discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with drivers, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Candidates should possess solid Phone Etiquette and Computer Literacy skills to handle calls professionally and accurately enter data into digital systems. Candidates should possess knowledge of Recycling processes and basic material handling practices to support environmental and waste management initiatives. Previous experience in scale operation, logistics, warehousing, or a similar industrial environment is beneficial. Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with standardized procedures and documentation are required. Basic understanding of safety standards in manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous. High school diploma or technical qualification in a relevant field; additional training in logistics or industrial operations is a plus. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage shift duties if required, and collaborate in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
