A leading company in the Container Transportation and Logistics sector is looking for an experienced Container Transport Operations Manager to lead the team responsible for daily trip allocation and driver operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operation team, ensuring efficient execution of daily transportation plans.

• Review daily transportation requirements received from Customer Service and ensure effective allocation of available trucks and drivers.

• Optimize driver and fleet utilization while maintaining operational efficiency and service quality.

• Oversee the operational management of drivers, including availability, deployment, attendance, performance, and compliance.

• Establish and monitor KPIs related to driver performance, utilization, productivity, and trip execution.

• Ensure the right drivers are assigned to the right trips based on operational requirements, driver availability, and equipment readiness.

• Manage operational changes and unexpected situations, ensuring timely reassignment of drivers and resources.

• Coordinate closely with Customer Service, GPS Tracking, Maintenance, Ports teams to ensure smooth trip execution.

• Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities to improve fleet utilization, driver productivity, and transportation efficiency.

• Handle escalated driver-related operational issues and ensure appropriate resolution.

• Develop and maintain operational reports related to driver management and allocation performance.

• Coach and develop the Operation team to improve performance and operational decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety requirements.

Requirements

Requirements:

• 12+ years of relevant experience in Fleet Operations, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.

• At least 5 years experience in Leadership role.

• Strong experience in Container Transportation / Trucking Operations is highly preferred.

• Proven experience in managing drivers and large driver teams within transportation operations.

• Strong background in Trip Operation, fleet utilization, and transportation planning.

• Previous experience in a managerial role with responsibility for operational teams.

• Strong understanding of container transportation and port-related trucking operations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Good command of Microsoft Excel and fleet/transportation management systems.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment and manage multiple priorities.
