Role Description The BIM Manager role at Competent HR Consultancy is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The BIM Manager will oversee the implementation, coordination, and optimization of Building Information Modeling processes across projects, ensuring accurate, well-structured models that support design, engineering, and construction teams. Daily responsibilities include managing BIM standards, leading model reviews, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and resolving clashes between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. The role also involves mentoring BIM team members, aligning virtual design workflows with project requirements, and collaborating closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. The BIM Manager will contribute to continuous improvement of BIM tools and procedures to enhance efficiency, consistency, and collaboration. Qualifications Strong expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and BIM Coordination, with proven experience managing and integrating project models. Proficiency in Virtual Design workflows and tools, supporting visualization, simulation, and digital coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Solid understanding of Architecture principles and practices, with the ability to interpret and integrate architectural design intent within BIM models. Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including coordination of MEP models with architectural and structural disciplines. Hands-on experience with industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Auto CAD, or similar platforms). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and clash detection skills, with attention to detail and model accuracy. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and coach multidisciplinary BIM teams. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; advanced BIM training or certifications are an advantage. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
