Job Overview Our company is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant with 5–7 years of experience, specialized in all aspects of cost accounting, pricing, inventory control, and capital budgeting. The role is strategic and technically oriented, combining in-depth cost analysis, financial modeling, and the development of technical solutions to support operational and investment decision-making, while ensuring compliance with best financial practices and international accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Advanced Cost Accounting· Design and implement comprehensive cost accounting systems, covering direct and indirect costs, labor costs, and material and service costs.· Analyze variances between actual and estimated costs using advanced financial tools such as Variance Analysis and Activity-Based Costing (ABC).· Prepare accurate cost reports at the product, service, project, or operational unit level.· Support management in evaluating operational efficiency
2. Strategic Pricing and Profitability Analysis· Develop advanced pricing models considering full costs, market competition, and market trends.· Use financial analysis and modeling tools to assess the impact of price changes on profits and profit margins.· Provide precise recommendations to management regarding promotional offers, special contracts, and client negotiations.
3. Inventory Control and Cost Analysis· Manage and track inventory on a periodic and continuous basis, analyzing discrepancies between physical and accounting inventory using techniques like Inventory Reconciliation and Cycle Counting.· Design dynamic reporting systems to monitor inventory and link it to production and sales costs.· Provide comprehensive analysis of inventory-related costs, including hidden or indirect costs, and support decision-making regarding purchasing and production.
4. Capital Budgeting and Financial Planning· Prepare capital budgets for projects and investments, including analysis of internal returns and financial performance indicators (ROI, NPV, IRR).· Monitor budget expenditure and analyze variances between planned and actual spending.· Support management in investment decisions based on advanced, data-driven analysis.
5. Advanced Financial and Technical Analysis· Utilize ERP tools and financial data management systems to deliver complex, integrated financial analyses.· Develop Dashboards and KPI reports to support strategic decision-making.· Analyze cash flow and cost across operational units to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and waste reduction.
Qualifications & Experience· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.· 5–7 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting within industrial or service environments.· Proven experience in:o Comprehensive and advanced cost accounting (ABC, Standard Costing, Job/Process Costing)o Strategic pricing and profitability analysiso Inventory control linked to costs and productiono Capital budgeting and investment return analysis· Proficient in advanced ERP financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or equivalent.· Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and SQL for data analysis and financial reporting.
