Head of Early Years — Silicon Valley International School Location: New Administrative Capital, Egypt
Join our team• We are seeking an experienced Head of Early Years to lead our Early Years Foundation Stage provision, shaping vision, elevating teaching and learning, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for children in Nursery and Reception.

What you will do• Lead the strategic direction and daily operation of Early Years, aligned with Early Years Foundation Stage principles and whole-school priorities.• Design, sequence, and quality-assure the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum: play-based, inquiry-led, and language-rich, with robust assessment.• Ensure high-quality environments indoors and outdoors; oversee continuous provision, enhancements, and resourcing.• Lead staff development: coach teachers and assistants, run professional learning, model best practice, and oversee appraisal and support plans.• Implement rigorous safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour, and inclusion policies; maintain accurate records.• Use formative and summative assessment and observation frameworks to track progress, identify needs, and close gaps.• Build strong partnerships with families: workshops, reporting, and regular, clear communication.• Coordinate transitions into Early Years to KS1; collaborate with Primary leadership for curriculum continuity.• Lead admissions assessments, class placements, and induction for new students.• Represent Early Years in leadership meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
What you bring• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Education; recognized teaching qualification.• At least five years of successful Early Years teaching, including leadership or phase coordination in Early Years Foundation Stage-focused settings.• Deep knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, child development, special educational needs inclusion, multilingual learner strategies, and play-based pedagogy.• Proven record of raising outcomes through curriculum design, coaching, and environment planning.• Excellent command of English at C2 level or equivalent for staff and parent communication. What we offer• Salary: 35,000 to 40,000 Egyptian pounds per month, based on experience and qualifications.• Transportation, social insurance, and medical insurance.• Tuition fee discount for dependents.
