Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Engineer who understands that procurement is not just purchasing — it’s a major driver of project profitability. This role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and solid cost control capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:Manage the full procurement cycle for construction/finishing projects Review BOQs, drawings, and specifications before initiating procurement Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and analyze technical & commercial offers Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors Ensure materials meet required technical standards and project timelines Lead cost control activities, monitor budgets, and track procurement-related expenses Analyze cost deviations and propose corrective actions to maintain project margins Conduct value engineering and cost optimization initiatives Coordinate with technical office, site, and finance teams to control project costs Monitor market price fluctuations and maintain updated cost benchmarks Develop and maintain a reliable supplier database
Qualifications Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil ) .5–8+ years of procurement experience in construction or finishing projects Strong skills in supplier evaluation and the ability to manage purchase orders effectively Proven experience in cost control and budget management Proficiency in handling Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes and ensuring cost-effective procurement Analytical skills for evaluating data and making informed decisions Advanced Excel skills & ERP system experience Excellent communication skills for supplier negotiations and team collaboration Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects Familiarity with industry standards and procurement practices in engineering or construction domains.
