Job Description

Work alongside biomedical chemist while they complete laboratory tests Educate colleagues in the use and limitations of each diagnostic investigation Provide advice and interpretation of test results and the appropriateness of further investigations Deliver clinical care to patients (as a histopathologist, patient contact is limited unless you're undertaking a specific role such as taking fine-needle aspiration cytology specimens in breast clinics) Undertake managerial responsibilities, such as planning the workload and staffing of the department, especially at more senior levels Performing specimen analysis by using laboratory tools and equipment, in order to study samples and perform tests to accurately analyze bodily fluids and tissue specimens. Looking for abnormalities in samples that evidence disease and conveying this information to the relevant medical practitioner. Suggesting potential treatment options & Writing pathology reports detailing specimens tested, results of tests, and the final diagnosis. Undertaking research to improve identification and testing methods and finding innovative ways to treat disease. Preparation of personalized written reports of laboratory results for clients in the area of biochemistry, hematology, endocrinology, and microbiology. Assisting with the development and validation of new assays offered to clients & Participation in the laboratory Quality Assurance programs.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery Experience (4-5 years), Experience in Medical Laboratory Master Degree in Clinical Pathology or registered
