Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Service Provider Telco Cloud Engineer to support, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco Telco Cloud and NFV platforms in a production service provider environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Telco Cloud solutions, NFV architectures, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and support Cisco Telco Cloud platforms, including Cisco ACI, Cisco CVIM, Cisco NSO, and Cisco ESC. Manage and troubleshoot NFV infrastructure (NFVI) and VNF lifecycle operations, including onboarding, instantiation, scaling, healing, and decommissioning. Support and troubleshoot Cisco ACI fabrics, including underlay/overlay networking, tenants, contracts, and endpoint connectivity issues. Perform operational support for Cisco CVIM, including Open Stack components, compute, storage, and networking layers. Utilize Cisco NSO for service orchestration and Day-2 operations. Manage VNF lifecycle using Cisco ESC and integrate with MANO stacks. Perform system maintenance activities such as upgrades, patching, and capacity expansion with minimal service impact. Conduct incident management, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution across infrastructure and application layers. Collaborate with NOC, engineering, and vendor teams to ensure service stability and continuous improvement. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and incident reports. Support automation initiatives using scripting or APIs to enhance operational efficiency. Hands-on experience with Cisco Telco Cloud platforms, including Cisco ACI, CVIM, NSO, ESC, and Open Stack/Open Shift. Strong understanding of NFV architectures and service provider cloud environments. Solid experience in IP networking, data center networking, and telco-grade infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, virtualization, and container technologies. Proven troubleshooting skills across hardware, virtualization, networking, orchestration, and application layers. Exposure to automation and scripting (Bash, Python, REST APIs) is an advantage.
Job Specifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in telco cloud, NFV, or service provider environments. Certifications (Preferred):Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE – Service Provider or Data Center) Open Stack, Linux, or cloud-related certifications Work Conditions:Ability to work in shifts and provide on-call support when required. Experience working in NOC/operations environments is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment. Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
