Position Summary: We are seeking a strategic Senior Cost Accountant to be the financial architect of our manufacturing and profitability analysis. This role is critical to our strategy, going beyond routine costing to provide actionable insights that drive margin improvement across the group.
Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing & Product Costing: • Establish, maintain, and refine the standard costing system for all manufactured products (furniture, upholstery), including detailed Bills of Material (BOM) and routing. • Perform detailed variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and report findings to operational and financial leadership. • Lead inventory valuation and analysis, identifying opportunities to improve turnover and reduce obsolescence.
B2B Project Pricing & Control: • Lead the cost estimation and financial modeling for B2B project bids, gathering all relevant costs (materials, labor, overhead, logistics) to ensure profitable pricing. • Establish and monitor the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project budgets, tracking actual costs against budget throughout the project lifecycle. • Perform project profitability analysis, reporting on variances and providing early warnings on projects at risk of cost overruns.
D2C & New Product Development: • Partner with R&D and production teams to develop accurate cost models for new products. • Track and analyze prototyping and development costs against initial project approvals. • Provide crucial financial data to support pricing decisions for both custom and standard D2C product lines.
Strategic Support: • Conduct detailed profitability analysis by product line, customer, and project to guide strategic decision-making. • Provide actionable insights and cost analysis to support group-wide margin improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (English Section). • Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required. • In-depth, practical knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, Bills of Material (BOM), and project accounting principles. • A proactive, analytical thinker who can translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights. • Experience with manufacturing and project modules in a major ERP system is essential.
