We are hiring a Production engineer at our factory in 10th of Ramadan to supervise, plan, and improve daily production operations inside the conductor manufacturing plant, ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and to comply with safety and quality standards.
Employment Type: Full-time – Shift-based work (morning / evening / night shifts)
Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Monitor production processes (e.g., drawing, stranding, coiling) to ensure compliance with specifications and deadlines. Analyze production data to identify recurring problems or weak points. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs. Ensure that products meet required technical specifications and standards (e.g., ASTM, IEC and local standards). Coordinate with the quality team for in-process and post-production inspections. Provide technical support to workers and technicians regarding machine settings, wire tension, temperature control, etc. Ensure proper setup and accurate calibration of machines (drawing, stranding, extrusion lines). Enforce safety instructions and ensure safe operation of all equipment. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments at the worksite. Coordinate with the maintenance team to reduce downtime and ensure production continuity. Support the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance plans. Prepare periodic reports on production, waste, downtime, etc. Monitor key performance indicators such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Employee might be assigned additional tasks as required by the needs of the organization
Qualifications and Required Skills:Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Preferably in the wire/cable or metal processing industry. Technical Skills: Good knowledge of production machines such as drawing and stranding machines. Familiarity with production planning tools and lean manufacturing principles. Understanding of quality standards like ISO 9001 and product-specific technical standards (e.g., ASTM, IEC). Personal Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good leadership and communication abilities. Ability to work under pressure and in shift-based environments.
