Job summary: A Mechanical Site Engineer plans and supervises Mechanical works such as installation of Fire Fighting Systems, air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation in buildings and infrastructure construction. In addition to coordinating the Mechanical works with other ongoing site works, the Engineer supervises contractors and workers to complete the Mechanical works on time and within the allocated budget. The Engineer is also expected to provide solutions for Mechanical problems and be the key point of contact who will liaise with other building professionals on Mechanical matters. Tasks and Responsibilities: · Manage Mechanical works to meet project specifications, budgets and timeline.· Prepare reports to clients and project manager on progress, delays, defects and rectification measures for the Mechanical works.· Interpret technical designs and drawings.· Provide technical advice and resolve Mechanical technical issues on site· Supervise Mechanical works (e.g. installation of Fire Fighting Systems, air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation) in the construction project.· Handle all issues related to the assigned area in the project and gather the needed information to implement all activities effectively.· Manage the sub-contractors and labor in order to ensure they are working efficiently according to the project specs and quality standards.· Ensure that the activities performed by the subcontractors and the site labor force match the shop drawings. Qualifications: · Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering· 3:6 years of relevant experience· Very Good in English.· Proficiency in mechanical design software such as Auto CAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design tools.· Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection).· Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (MS Office- Auto CAD).
