Warehouse Manager

Receiving Operations:
- Supervise the receipt of incoming frozen meat shipments.
- Verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure transportation vehicles and product temperatures are compliant at receipt.

Storage & Inventory Management:
- Organize and store products in freezer rooms according to available space.
- Monitor and document freezer room temperatures daily.
- Track inventory levels and define reorder points.

- Hands-on experience in operating and managing cold storage/freezer rooms with stable temperature control.
- Ability to monitor and ensure refrigeration equipment functionality (in coordination with maintenance).
- Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ERP for inventory management.
- Proficiency in using barcode scanners and RFID technology for stock tracking.
- Experience in implementing contingency plans (power outages – refrigeration failures – overstock situations).
- Ability to design warehouse layout optimization plans.
- Expertise in inventory control and regular/cycle counts.
- Familiarity with handling equipment (forklifts – hand pallets – reach trucks) and ensuring their maintenance.
- Managing reverse logistics operations (returns and waste handling).
- Experience with regulatory inspections and preparing warehouses for government audits.

 



Dispatch & Distribution:
- Supervise the dispatch of products to internal and external orders.
- Verify dispatch orders against official documents.
- Ensure accurate and timely loading while maintaining product integrity.

Control & Stocktaking:
- Supervise periodic and annual stock counts.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies.
- Record all inventory movements (inbound – outbound – returns – waste) in the system.

Team Management:
- Lead warehouse team (storekeepers – workers – forklift operators).
- Schedule shifts and allocate tasks.
- Train staff on safety and quality procedures.
- Evaluate team performance and motivate them to achieve department goals.

Quality & Safety:
- Implement HACCP / ISO  food safety standards.
- Ensure warehouse hygiene and absence of contamination sources.
- Ensure staff compliance with occupational health and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the quality department for necessary product inspections.

Reporting & Administration:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, wastage, and operational efficiency.
- Propose improvements to processes and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with other departments (Procurement – Sales – Finance – Production) to ensure workflow efficiency.

 


7–10 years of practical experience in warehouse management, including at least 3 years in food/frozen products.Knowledge & Skills:- Knowledge of cold and frozen storage systems and procedures.- Experience with ERP systems or warehouse management software.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Ability to prepare and analyze data and reports.- Familiarity with health and safety standards (HSE).- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
