PURPOSE :
The Loader loads and unloads goods. S/he warns the hierarchy of any issues with the goods and/or the workflow in carrying out the job.
RELATIONSHIPS :
• Internally, interacts with other logistics staff.
• Externally, interacts with service providers and drivers.

GENERAL DUTIES :
- Understands and adheres to the seven Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
- Understands and adheres to the ICRC Code of Conduct
- Understands the roles of the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
- Respects and observes staff regulations and security rules at all times.
- Represents the ICRC in a professional manner at all times.
- Develops and maintains a pleasant and conducive working environment with colleagues and line managers.
- Performs all duties with the highest level of confidentiality in the interest of the employees and the ICRC.
- May be asked to perform tasks not covered in this job description and to provide support to other departments when necessary.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Move goods within the warehouse.
- Transport goods to and from warehouses.
- Handle goods and materials as required.
- Perform kitting, reorganizing, and checking of goods when necessary.
- Participate in the monthly inventory process.
- Operate pickup trucks and forklifts for goods movement.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure the warehouse remains tidy and organized.
Qualifications and Requirements 2 to 3 years of work experience in a similar role. High school certificate or equivalent. Basic knowledge of the English language (an asset). Computer skills are an advantage. Ability to supervise daily workers efficiently. Possession of a valid driving license.
