Application Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our applications, providing technical support to clients, and collaborating with development teams for ongoing maintenance and updates. The candidate should be adept at troubleshooting issues, optimizing applications, and staying updated on the latest technologies in the field.

Responsibilities:

Client Technical Support:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to clients.
  • Follow up with clients post-resolution to ensure the issue has been fully resolved and they are satisfied with the support provided.

Report and Dashboard Development:

  • Develop reports and dashboards as required to meet business needs.

Daily Operations, Monitoring and Investigation:

  • Monitor daily operation cycles, reports, and logs to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into reported problems, ensuring a swift resolution.

Application Optimization:

  • Optimize applications by integrating new technologies and performing necessary upgrades.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to enhance application performance.

Innovation and Documentation:

  • Generate innovative ideas for software improvements based on market trends.
  • Document development processes, and procedures.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay abreast of advancements in application engineering and new technologies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for skill enhancement and professional development.

Technical Proficiencies:- Proficient in SQL/PL-SQL for database querying, manipulation, and scripting.- Extensive hands-on experience with Linux operating system administration and shell scripting.- Skilled in using command-line interfaces for troubleshooting and system administration tasks.- Expertise in handling and parsing XML and JSON data formats.- Demonstrated understanding of network fundamentals and protocols.Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose, investigate, and resolve complex technical issues.- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, enabling the identification and implementation of effective solutions.- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.Communication and Collaboration:- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to articulate technical concepts and solutions in a clear and concise manner.- Collaborative mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in the telecommunications industry or a related field.- Familiarity with industry-specific applications, systems, and protocols.
