Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media Moderator to manage online communities, moderate content, and ensure a positive experience for customers and followers across social media platforms. The role also involves liaising with influencers, monitoring industry trends, and supporting customer service operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Moderate social media pages and private merchant communities.
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers to strengthen networks.
  • Manage community admin accounts, process emails and complaints, escalate issues when necessary.
  • Produce reports on moderation statistics, issues, and outcomes.
  • Monitor industry and company information to anticipate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with customer service to ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  • Respond to customers on social media to improve user experience.
  • Identify potential sales leads and educate customers on product features and services.
  • Manage existing online cases, perform follow-ups, and meet operational targets.
  • Investigate and resolve reported social media issues, including account support and abusive content.

 

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • 1–2 years of experience, preferably in customer care or social media monitoring.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field; university grade preferably Excellent or Very Good.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and community management tools.
