Ensure all new colleagues and leaders attend the New Hire Orientation in accordance with SUNRISE standards. Provide development support and succession management guidance to the Group Executive Team. Prepare the annual training budget, provide monthly forecasts, and ensure compliance with financial guidelines for the training budget. Model and communicate the mission, promises, values, and ethical standards set by the company. Create, develop, implement, and assess the effectiveness of training and development policies and programs to enhance the overall skills, knowledge, engagement, and career development of all colleagues. Work closely with Department Heads and Managers to develop and ensure the effective implementation and delivery of On-the-Job Training and new hire training programs. Support department leaders in the implementation of the CES action-planning process when required. Ensure all legally required training programs are delivered, including skills training, food safety certifications, respectful workplace training, and other mandatory programs. Ensure that SUNRISE s core HR standards are consistently met within the Learning & Development function. Assist, as required, with team-building activities, retreats, meeting planning, and facilitation to support improved individual and team performance. Support the Corporate Learning & Development team, as required, in the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives. Actively participate in local hospitality industry associations and academic partnerships related to hospitality. Develop and implement ad hoc training programs, as required, to meet the needs of the hotel and its workforce. Benchmark and document hotel best practices and translate them into actionable processes that can be implemented across the organization. Support the implementation of new leadership and colleague training programs designed to improve overall performance and effectiveness. Support department leaders in ensuring that quality standards are consistently implemented and maintained on a daily basis.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Tourism, Education, or a related field Experience: 2 4 years Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, cruises, or another service-oriented environment is preferred. Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs. Experience in leadership development, coaching, and employee development. Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles. Fluency in English, both written and spoken Training & facilitation skills Strong communication and presentation skills Leadership development Training Needs Analysis Strategic thinking Excellent organization and time management Problem solving and decision-making Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital learning tools
