Ali Ben Ali equips operating theatres, ICUs, neonatal units, diagnostic departments, rehabilitation centers and a wide range of specialized clinical areas, as well as hospital furniture and ambulance equipment. Its network includes a head office and multiple showrooms in Cairo, Alexandria and Mansoura, supported by more than 30 authorized distributors across Egypt. Our maintenance center is certified by the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and provides warranty, delivery and technical support to public and private hospitals, healthcare authorities, clinics and diagnostic centers.

Role Description

The Biomedical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. The role involves installing, commissioning and testing medical equipment in hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centers to ensure safe and effective operation. Daily responsibilities include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, executing repairs and calibrating devices according to manufacturer and regulatory standards. The Biomedical Engineer will document service activities, maintain accurate equipment records and support compliance with safety and quality protocols. The role also includes collaborating with clinical staff, providing user training on proper equipment use, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to address technical inquiries and support continuous improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to medical technologies.
Hands-on experience with medical equipment and related systems used in operating theatres, ICUs, diagnostics and rehabilitation settings.
Proficiency in equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, calibration and performance verification.
Knowledge of healthcare standards, safety regulations and medical device quality requirements.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, service manuals and equipment specifications.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical, technical and supplier teams.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to travel within Egypt for on-site service when required.
Previous experience in hospital or clinical engineering environments in Egypt is an advantage.
