Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a reliable and highly motivated Senior Technical Office Engineer (Mechanical) to join our top-qualified and knowledgeable team in our Regional Office in New Cairo, Egypt.

What you will need to do:

Review tender documents, design drawings, specifications, and other technical requirements related to HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems. Prepare cost estimates and tender pricing for mechanical works. Review mechanical designs and identify technical discrepancies, missing information, or areas requiring clarification. Prepare and raise RFIs as required during the tendering and technical review process. Perform quantity take-offs and prepare/review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for mechanical materials, equipment, and systems. Prepare purchase requisitions for mechanical materials and equipment in accordance with project and design requirements. Review and evaluate vendors’ and subcontractors’ technical and commercial offers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements. Prepare technical comparisons and support the selection of suitable suppliers and subcontractors. Review mechanical technical submittals for materials, equipment, and systems and coordinate with suppliers to obtain any required technical clarifications. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems. Support tendering and awarded projects with the required technical office activities related to mechanical works.

What you will need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, preferably Mechanical Power Engineering.10–12 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Technical Office and/or Tender Estimation within the construction industry. Strong technical experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems. Solid experience in tender estimation, design review, quantity surveying, purchase requisitions, and technical/commercial evaluation of vendors’ offers. Previous experience working with reputable contractors or EPC companies in a similar role is highly preferred. Good knowledge of relevant mechanical codes, standards, and engineering practices. Proficiency in Auto CAD and MS Office; knowledge of relevant HVAC/design software is an advantage. Very good command of written and spoken English.
