About Qartas

Qartas is building a mobile platform that helps teachers prepare assessments, review student answers, grade efficiently, track results, and manage their classes.

We are looking for a React Native Developer to develop and maintain our Android and iOS application.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Qartas app using React Native and TypeScript.
• Build responsive interfaces based on UI/UX designs.
• Integrate the app with our FastAPI backend through REST APIs.
• Implement authentication, navigation, state management, and error handling.
• Build camera, image preview, and file-upload workflows.
• Support Arabic and right-to-left layouts.
• Debug issues, improve performance, and write maintainable code.
• Test important user flows and participate in code reviews.
• Prepare development and production builds for Android and iOS.
• Work closely with the product, backend, and AI/ML developers.

Requirements

• 2+ years of practical React Native experience.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge.
• Experience developing applications for Android and iOS.
• Experience with REST APIs, React hooks, navigation, and state management.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development.
• Ability to debug mobile and API integration issues.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Cairo.

Preferred

• Experience with Expo and EAS Build.
• Experience with camera access, image uploads, and local storage.
• Familiarity with Arabic and RTL applications.
• Experience publishing apps to Google Play or the Apple App Store.
• Familiarity with FastAPI or Python backends.
• Some experience with backend development, including building or maintaining APIs and working with databases.
