Role Description The Local Procurement Specialist – Electrical is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Maadi. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end local procurement process for electrical materials, components, and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing that meets technical and quality requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and processing purchase orders, coordinating with internal stakeholders to define specifications, and engaging with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. The specialist will evaluate vendor performance, maintain accurate procurement records, and monitor inventory levels to support ongoing projects. The role also involves supporting contract negotiations, resolving delivery or quality issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes aligned with company policies and sustainability objectives.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong procurement skills, including experience in local sourcing of electrical materials and managing end-to-end Procurement activities. Candidates should possess skills in Purchase Orders management, including preparing, reviewing, and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery and cost control. Candidates should possess Supplier Evaluation capabilities, including assessing vendor performance, quality, reliability, and compliance with company standards. Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills, including the ability to secure favorable commercial and legal terms while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Candidates should possess Analytical Skills, including the ability to analyze quotations, cost structures, and market trends to support data-driven decisions. Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience in electrical procurement within utilities, construction, or smart city projects is highly beneficial. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Qesm El Maadi. Proficiency in MS Office and procurement/ERP systems, with knowledge of local market regulations and standards related to electrical materials.
