• Evaluate and testing for competitors' products, registering and prepare the related reports, and recommend the advices for improvements and developments of the company’s products and providing to the direct manager.

• Evaluate the new raw materials to meet the requirements of the formulations for new products according to improvements and developments plan for the company’s products and registering and prepare the related reports.

• Follow up the implementation and registering the current and new formulations and providing the results to the direct manager to get the approval.

• Test, make pilot batches, and visit sites where the product has been applied to build confidence among the sales and marketing prior to release of the product.

• Coordinate with the supply chain department to testing alternative raw materials to optimize formulations and raise the purchasing power, ultimately reducing the production cost.

• Participate in the development of the current formulations to improve the quality of products and put the new formulations and make all tests according to the development requirements’ for the products of company, and keep and registering the results in the related reports.

• Measure samples from products within the production process and testing the final products before shipping and conduct the quality tests in all factories and take the necessary action in case get any problem and participate to solve all problems faced of the production department.

• Conduct periodic tests on the manufacturing equipment’s and production lines and products, raw materials and laboratory instruments laboratories.

• Ensure all of products according to the technical and quality requirements and follow all procedures existing in the procedures and instructions manual related to the stores and 5s standards, ISO, security, occupational health and safety.

• Ensure Company is in compliance with the quality requirements plans related to improve and development our products and that’s coordinating with the responsible departments.

• Do other tasks related to Work requirements and upon request of the direct manager after the adoption of head of department.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree. Science - chemistry

• From 2 to 4 years’ Experience in Research & Development in the coating field

• Must have Paints Industry experience (Protective coating and waterproofing, construction chemicals).

• Excellent English language is must

• Good problem solving and decision making skills. Displays a sense of urgency and initiative with creativity and flexibility.

•  Excellent communication (verbal, written), interpersonal and presentation skills

• Demonstrates leadership skills..
