Company Description Woodberry Preschool is an early childhood education center dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Role Description The Nursery Teacher will provide supportive, age-appropriate care and education for children in a nursery classroom setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social development; supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being; and maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment. The role involves observing and documenting children’s progress, communicating regularly with families, and collaborating with colleagues to align on curriculum and classroom practices. The Nursery Teacher will also support routines such as meals, rest time, and transitions, while reinforcing positive behavior and inclusive practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Woodberry Preschool in New Cairo. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong classroom management and child supervision skills, with the ability to create a calm, structured, and supportive environment. Candidates should possess skills in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities, including early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning. Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, families, and colleagues in a respectful, collaborative manner. Candidates should possess skills in observation, documentation, and basic reporting on children’s development and learning progress. Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field are beneficial, along with prior experience working in nursery or preschool settings. Additional beneficial qualifications include training in child safeguarding, first aid, and familiarity with inclusive education practices.
