Role Description The STEM Instructor will deliver engaging, on-site STEM sessions to students in Alexandria, Egypt, using Armstrong’s interactive curriculum and tools. This temporary role involves planning and teaching lessons, guiding students through experiments and projects, and creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment. The instructor will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching approaches to different ages and learning styles. Responsibilities also include collaborating with the Armstrong team to improve learning materials, ensuring safety during activities, and communicating with families and colleagues as needed.
Qualifications Strong Teaching skills, with experience facilitating STEM-related learning for children and adolescents. Effective Communication abilities to explain complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners. Background in Sports Coaching and Physical Education to integrate movement, teamwork, and active learning where appropriate. Familiarity with Baseball or similar sports to support relevant physical or team-based activities when included in the program. Knowledge of STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and enthusiasm for hands-on, project-based education. Ability to manage classrooms safely, promote inclusivity, and support learners with different needs and backgrounds. Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM field, Physical Education, or related discipline preferred. Prior experience working with students aged 4–18 in formal or informal educational settings is an advantage.
