Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, combining responsibilities as a Cognitive Skills Therapist, Speech Therapist, Occupational (OT) Therapist, Sensory Integration Therapist, Art Therapist, Academic Therapist, and Head of Academic Department. The professional in this role will assess students’ cognitive, communication, motor, sensory, emotional, and academic needs, and develop individualized therapy and learning plans. Daily tasks include delivering one-on-one and small group sessions, integrating speech, OT, sensory, and art-based interventions, and monitoring progress through regular documentation and assessments. The role also involves designing academic curricula aligned with students’ abilities, leading the academic team, coordinating interdisciplinary case reviews, and communicating with families regarding student goals and outcomes. The Head of Academic Department component includes mentoring staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards, and contributing to ongoing program development at Bright Hearts Academy.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in assessing and supporting children’s speech production and clarity. Candidates should possess skills in Communication Disorders and Language Disorders to address receptive and expressive language, social communication, and related challenges. Candidates should possess skills in Applied behaviour analysis and/or evidence based approaches and programmes used to evaluate and support developing cognitive skills, self care, pre-academic skills, solving problems, developing memory and attention span. Relevant credentials in speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, special education, psychology, or related fields. Experience working with children with diverse learning, developmental, and sensory needs in a school or clinical setting. Demonstrated ability to design individualized education and therapy plans and to be a team player in multidisciplinary professional teams. Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage families in the therapeutic and academic process. Fluency in English and Arabic is highly beneficial; familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and inclusive education practices is an advantage.
