Role Description The Tendering & Contracts Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing tender documents, technical and commercial proposals, and quotations for engineering and construction projects. The engineer will coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to gather pricing, technical data, and delivery terms, ensuring competitive and compliant bids. Daily tasks include analyzing project specifications, identifying risks and scope, supporting procurement activities, and maintaining accurate contract documentation. The role also involves participating in negotiations, monitoring contract performance, and providing clear communication and reports to management and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial tender submissions.* Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.* Analyze project scope, identify risks, and prepare clarifications.* Coordinate with Architecture, Structural, MEP, BIM, and Project Management teams for proposal development.* Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing documentation.* Review, negotiate, and administer contracts and contractual correspondence.* Track tender deadlines and ensure timely submissions.* Support project teams during pre-award and post-award stages.* Maintain tender records, templates, and contractual documentation.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.* 3–5+ years of experience in tendering and contracts within the AEC industry.* Understanding of FIDIC contracts and procurement procedures.* Experience with commercial costing and proposal preparation.* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF/document management tools.* Experience with GCC and international projects is a strong advantage Fluent English (written and spoken).
