Position Summary The Technical & Engineering Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical oversight across all engineering functions, ensuring the successful delivery of complex construction projects from concept through completion. The role drives engineering excellence, design quality, innovation, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, contractual requirements, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage technical risks, optimize project performance, and support organizational growth through effective engineering governance and leadership.

Key Responsibilitiesprovide strategic leadership for all engineering and technical operations across multiple projects Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, policies, and best practices Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring effective collaboration and high-performance delivery Direct all design management, technical office, engineering coordination, and value engineering activities Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical submissions, shop drawings, and construction methodologies Ensure engineering solutions comply with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and international engineering standards Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to resolve technical matters and facilitate project execution Lead Value Engineering workshops to optimize project cost, constructability, quality, and operational performance Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact Support pre-construction, tendering, and business development activities by providing technical expertise Drive innovation through the adoption of digital engineering tools, BIM, and advanced construction technologies Monitor engineering performance, technical KPIs, resource utilization, and project progress Mentor and develop engineering professionals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, sustainability, and engineering excellence throughout all project phases
. Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline (Master's degree is an advantage Minimum 20 years of experience in engineering and construction, including 10 years in a senior leadership rolee. Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale building, infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use developments. Strong expertise in design management, technical office operations, engineering coordination, value engineering, and construction methodologies. Extensive knowledge of international engineering codes, standards, and industry regulations. Experience working within fast-paced, multi-project environments Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical excellence and business objective Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills. Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent are considered an advantage. GCC or international project experience is highly preferred Preferred Achievements Successfully led the engineering delivery of major construction or infrastructure projects valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.
