Role Description The Senior Design Architect role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The individual in this role will lead architectural design activities from concept development to detailed construction drawings, ensuring design integrity, functionality, and aesthetic quality. Daily responsibilities include coordinating design teams, managing design processes and timelines, reviewing and approving architectural layouts, and integrating engineering inputs into cohesive project designs. The Senior Design Architect will collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and clients, participate in design reviews, and provide guidance to junior architects to maintain design standards and compliance with local codes and regulations. The role also involves contributing to design presentations, resolving technical design issues, and supporting continuous improvement of ECB’s design methodologies. Qualifications Strong architectural design skills, with demonstrated experience in concept development and detailed Architectural Design. Proficiency in Design Management, including coordination of multidisciplinary teams and oversight of design deliverables. Ability to produce and review high-quality Construction Drawings and technical documentation compliant with relevant codes and standards. Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field. Several years of experience in a senior or lead architectural role, preferably within consulting or engineering firms. Proficiency in relevant design and visualization software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, BIM tools, and presentation software). Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Knowledge of local building regulations and standards in Egypt; experience with ISO 9001:2015 environments is an advantage.
