Role Description The Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role involves leading the design and development of infrastructure systems, preparing and reviewing detailed engineering drawings and specifications, and coordinating across disciplines to ensure integrated solutions. The engineer will supervise and mentor junior team members, perform technical reviews, and support value engineering and optimization efforts. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with project managers, attending coordination meetings, ensuring designs comply with local regulations and international standards, and providing technical support during construction and site supervision as needed. Qualifications Strong design engineering skills, with experience in planning and developing infrastructure projects. Solid background in mechanical engineering applied to infrastructure systems and components. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) tools for creating, reviewing, and modifying technical drawings and models. Knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to infrastructure networks and systems. Experience in product and system design, focusing on practical, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related discipline. Several years of experience in infrastructure design, preferably with consultancy firms and multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and local regulations in Egypt and international best practices. Ability to lead projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
