Role Description The Housekeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations across hospital and clinical facilities. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, assigning daily tasks, monitoring cleanliness standards in patient rooms and common areas, and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety procedures. The Housekeeping Manager coordinates laundry services, manages inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and addresses service requests from clinical and administrative teams. The role also includes working with human resources and department leadership on hiring, training, scheduling, performance feedback, and maintaining high levels of customer service for patients, visitors, and staff. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, including staff scheduling, performance oversight, and team coordination. Hands-on experience in housekeeping and laundry operations within healthcare or similar high-standard environments. Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience participating in or supporting hiring processes for housekeeping staff. Knowledge of infection control standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance in healthcare facilities. Ability to manage inventories, control costs, and work with housekeeping-related vendors and service providers. Proficiency in basic office software and reporting tools to document schedules, inspections, and incident reports. Prior experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager, preferably in hospitals or large healthcare settings. Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality management, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
