Job Summary The Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing payroll processing, employee compensation, and benefits administration in compliance with Egyptian labor laws and regulations. The role ensures accurate and timely payroll, maintains employee records, and manages relationships with governmental entities including Social Insurance, Tax Authority, and Labor Office. The position also supports the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
Key Responsibilities1. Payroll & Compensation Management Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and final settlements. Ensure payroll compliance with Egyptian tax regulations and social insurance requirements. Calculate and process leaves, allowances, and end-of-service benefits. Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee data. Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
2. Benefits Administration Manage employee benefits programs including medical insurance, life insurance, and other company-provided benefits. Coordinate with insurance providers for policy issuance, renewals, and claims processing. Ensure benefits programs are competitive and aligned with market practices. Support employees in understanding and utilizing their benefits.
3. Government Relations & Compliance Handle all activities related to Social Insurance, including employee registration, updates, and compliance with applicable laws. Manage dealings with the Labor Office, including employment contracts and labor law compliance. Ensure compliance with Egyptian Tax Authority requirements related to payroll taxes and reporting. Stay updated on changes in Egyptian labor law, tax regulations, and social insurance law, ensuring company compliance at all times.
4. Employee Records & HR Administration Maintain and update employee files (hard copy and digital) in compliance with legal requirements. Ensure all employee documentation is complete and properly archived. Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a compensation and documentation perspective.
5. Reporting & Analysis Prepare payroll reports, cost analysis, and HR metrics as required. Utilize Excel tools (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) to analyze compensation data. Support budgeting and forecasting of payroll and benefits costs.
Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field. Experience2–5 years of experience in payroll, compensation & benefits, or HR operations. Proven experience handling payroll and government relations in Egypt. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, data analysis). Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus. Knowledge Strong knowledge of Egyptian Labor Law, Social Insurance Law, and Payroll Tax Regulations. Familiarity with compliance and audit requirements related to HR and payroll. Soft Skills High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
