The Food Laboratory Marketing Specialist is responsible for promoting the laboratory’s food testing and analytical services to food manufacturers, restaurants, exporters, importers, and regulatory organizations. The role focuses on generating new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and increasing the laboratory’s market presence. The marketer works closely with the technical and administrative teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and services are delivered efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development
• Identify and approach potential clients such as food factories, restaurants, catering companies, and exporters.
• Promote laboratory services including microbiological, chemical, and food safety testing.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to expand the client base.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

2. Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Conduct meetings and presentations to explain laboratory services and capabilities.
• Respond to client inquiries and coordinate testing requirements with laboratory staff.
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

3. Market Research
• Monitor market trends in the food industry and laboratory services.
• Identify competitor services, pricing, and market opportunities.
• Provide feedback to management on client needs and market demands.

4. Marketing Activities
• Participate in exhibitions, industry events, and business meetings.
• Promote laboratory services through digital marketing, social media, and direct visits.
• Assist in preparing marketing materials such as brochures, proposals, and presentations.

5. Reporting
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports.
• Maintain records of client visits, leads, and contracts.
• Report market insights and sales performance to management.
