Role Objectives
As an Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance, efficiency, and experience of our delivery associate network. You will oversee fleet management, logistics execution, performance management, and live operations to ensure a seamless delivery service. Your focus will be on improving delivery speed, cost efficiency, delivery associate retention, and service quality in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Delivery Associate Fleet Management & Performance
- Oversee delivery associate recruitment, onboarding, and training programs to ensure a high-quality delivery network.
- Manage delivery associate allocation and shifts to optimize fleet availability across peak and off-peak hours.
- Monitor delivery associate KPIs (e.g., delivery time, order fulfillment rate, customer satisfaction) and implement performance improvement strategies.
- Develop incentive structures to motivate and retain high-performing delivery associates while improving overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and operational guidelines for the fleet.
- Maintain strong engagement with the delivery associate community through regular communication, feedback sessions, and support initiatives.
Delivery Operations & Logistics Execution
- Oversee on-ground logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination between all stakeholders
- Monitor real-time order dispatching, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing routes for improved efficiency.
- Implement delivery associate utilization strategies, reducing idle time while balancing demand and availability
- Work closely with tech teams to improve fleet tracking, delivery associate app usability, and dispatch algorithms
- Collaborate with customer service to handle escalations related to delivery failures or delays.
Process Optimization & Cost Control
- Analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Manage fleet costs, fuel efficiency, and asset utilization to drive cost-effective operations.
- Develop contingency plans for high-demand periods, weather disruptions, and operational risks.
- Liaise with external vendors for fleet services, insurance, and safety equipment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
- 10+ years of experience in last-mile logistics, fleet management, or delivery operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data-driven insights to optimize operations.
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale delivery fleets in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of route optimization, real-time dispatching, and delivery associate engagement strategies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational challenges.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or operational analytics tools is a plus.
