- React, React Native, Next.js, WordPress, TALL Stack -
Senior developer with the ability to engineer scalable, performant, and accessible interfaces that integrate seamlessly with modern backend services and enterprise platforms. This is not a pixel-pushing role, but an architectural frontend engineering position requiring mastery in React, Next.js, and WordPress ecosystems within a TALL stack context.
The ideal candidate brings end-to-end SDLC experience with deep knowledge of frontend application architecture, state management, UI performance optimization, headless CMS integrations, and secure web delivery pipelines.
Core Responsibilities
Frontend Architecture & Engineering
- Lead the design of component-driven architectures using React, React Native, Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR), and TypeScript.
- Define and enforce state management patterns (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or Context API), and integrate them with backend microservices.
- Architect headless WordPress solutions: Gutenberg blocks, REST/GraphQL APIs, custom post types, and decoupled frontends with React/Next.js.
- Ensure WCAG-compliant accessibility, SEO optimization, and Core Web Vitals adherence.
- Architect and develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, leveraging shared components with React/Next.js web applications.
WordPress Expertise
- Architect enterprise-level WordPress platforms with advanced custom themes, plugins, and multisite configurations.
- Design headless/decoupled WordPress implementations integrating with Laravel backends and React/Next.js frontends.
- Optimize for scale: caching (Varnish, Redis), CDNs, query optimization, and security hardening.
- Manage migration strategies, content pipelines, and integrations with third-party systems (CRM, eCommerce, ERP).
TALL Stack & System Integration
- Collaborate within TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, and Livewire) environments.
- Engineer front-to-back contracts with OpenAPI/GraphQL schemas, ensuring strongly typed interfaces and data safety.
- Work closely with backend teams to design BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) layers and optimize API consumption.
Performance & Optimization
- Lead initiatives in progressive rendering, bundle splitting, lazy loading, CDN edge rendering, and performance profiling.
- Apply observability tooling (Lighthouse CI, Sentry, Datadog, New Relic) for proactive monitoring and diagnostics.
- Enforce performance SLAs and establish performance budgets across all frontend builds.
DevOps & CI/CD in Frontend Context
- Define and maintain frontend CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Netlify, Vercel, AWS Amplify).
- Manage environment parity, feature toggling, and blue/green deployment of frontend services.
- Ensure automated UI testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Jest/RTL) are embedded in delivery pipelines.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a frontend authority in architectural decision-making across multiple projects.
- Mentor developers in advanced React patterns, WordPress engineering, and frontend DevOps.
- Partner with backend architects, UI/UX, and business teams to align technical design with business outcomes.
Skills
Core Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in React, React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern state management.
- Deep expertise in WordPress (themes, plugins, multisite, Gutenberg, REST/GraphQL APIs) at an enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of headless CMS architecture, and API-first WordPress deployments.
- Proven track record in performance optimization, SEO strategy implementation, and accessibility compliance.
- Proficient in frontend CI/CD pipelines, Dockerized workflows, and cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid experience with cross-browser, responsive, and mobile-first engineering.
- Strong grasp of design systems, component libraries, and frontend governance practices.
- Proven experience in mobile development with React Native, including app store deployments, OTA updates, and API integrations.
